Liquid Transformation, 2017

It is a way of painting, of savoring the transit of life. From the oldest concept in the certainty that "everything changes": we, together with the universe, change permanently (even of scent). With this idea I have made all these drawings, some electronically others on paper. “Liquid Transformation” was born because I was invited to make a mural for a place called INDEPEDI which is an Institute of people with disabilities, they’ll take classes as well as training courses so they can learn new jobs, develop their talents, learn new things and even do sports.

Since then, I have given a lot of thought about what I want to paint, and after many turns in my mind, I decided that what I want is to represent that internal force that we all have to transform ourselves, that volcano of emotions that wakes up in us so that our heart moves to a better place, and it fills with energy, encouragement and thrust. We all have the capacity to make that mutation. They are transformations that nobody sees, that hide in the glitter of the look, that are the product of much effort and determination. I think that a person with disability works constantly with this energy and that is precisely what I would like to inspire, that inner look that transforms the way that we perceive the world, and our power to align it in our favor.

We who seek for the flow are the same that make the effort and growth of our conscience: it is something that unites us as human beings with or without disability. I think it's the work that really frees you and expands you despite what may happen outside of you. It holds you and fills the gaps. I am convinced that there is no happiness given but the one conquered by the work and responsibility of our action: to write, to paint, to sing, to dance and to sculpt our own poetry.
